In a remarkable collaboration, two of Chicago's most celebrated musicians, Pistol Pete and world-renowned banjo master Michael J. Miles, are taking the Blues back to its roots. Thinking about those delicious Pork Chop Sandwiches sold on Maxwell Street in Chicago, they are resurrecting the banjo as the driving force behind this uniquely American musical form.
Their combined expertise and passion for the instrument are on full display, creating a performance that is both technically brilliant and emotionally resonant. This collaboration is a testament to the banjo's enduring legacy and its rightful place at the heart of the Blues.
After recording this video Michael described Pete as "The Jimi Hendrix of the banjo." Which was the perfect compliment for Pete, who was incredibly thankful for the opportunity to work with such a talented musician as Michael.
